Embed Video IE6

Hi Guys

I have just finished a staff induction website which features a number of video clips. I have embedded media player however it takes ages for the controls to appear in IE6 (some of our staff machines still run this).

It is fine in IE7 though. Here is a sample page:

Any idea what's wrong please?

I'm not sure about Media Player params, but there should be an option for streaming the video... As it is now, your video loads completely before it begins playing.

adamblan is right, the site is loading the entire video before it starts playing it, I see the load delay on IE7 also (the video file may have been cached on the IE7 machine you test on, delete the IE temp. files on that machine and retest). I don't know a lot about what you need to do to set the video up to stream but that is definitely the way to go...

my suggestion is to use flv video and a flash player for the same...

it has streaming capabilities and works better than media player.

Thanks for your help guys, much appreciated. I have altered the code so it streams the file which has made it much better. I will investigate the flash player option next.
