Can anyone recommend a good CMS platform to build an E-commerce website? Shopify? Joomla? or even just WordPress??

Thanks!:)

P.S. I'm really not familiar with any of the three above.

Wouldn't using a CMS that is DESIGNED to be used as a catalogue/ecommerce tool rather having to "bolt on" something be better??

ZenCart, OpenCart, Freeway, Magento, CubeCart. PrestaShop, osCommerce and so on.

I prefer joomla, it has virtuemart and great modules to built your site. But compare to two of them, there are many ecommerce cms which is way better than them.

Open Cart

I think the easiest CMS software to use for E-Commerce is Open Cart. It has thousands of existing themes to choose from, and move widgets around, but it is hart to customize in detail.

If you have some skills in PHP programming you can consider Open Cart. I do not suggest to use Wordpress as a e-commerce platform because you have a plenty dedicated software to create e-commerce websites such as: Open Cart, Magento, Presta Shop, Shopify, Virtue Mart for Joomla and many, many more.
