Domain name opinions

I am going to be setting up a project site about something that is close to my heart... an advocate site, if you will. I don't want to say much more than that until I have gotten the domain name.

I have two almost decent domain names to choose from... I say almost decent because both are a little long for my tastes but both are very descriptive to the type of site it will be. One is 14 letters long with no hyphens and one is 16 letters long with no hyphens... considering the descriptive nature of the names will length really count as a detriment?

So... any opinions out there?

The number of times a person is required to actually type a URL is probably fairly low. Most traffic will come via an external link reference. Domain name length is presumably therefore not much of an issue, so on balance, I would go for the more descriptive and or memorable.

Not really much of a difference between 14 and 16 letters, I would go with the one you like better or has the better keywords over the shorter one.
This site is 14 letters long.
