Cutting down load time.

I'm just really starting to pay attention to load times cause I'm probably losing a bit of customers if my pages take to long to load. With that in mind, I am using websiteoptimization.com to give me a load time and other stuff.

How do you cut this down? How can I make my graphics load quicker without losing the quality? =( There must be a way all these other sites do it!

My site is of an adult nature or I would post it. But any help would be greatly appreciated.

what format are ur pics n graphix in?and how long is it taking to load?

Try making all pictures thumbnails and clicking to enlarge them.
If it's the homepage, or the navigation, try using a css navigation, which can look just as good
