CSS 100% Height?

Using this layout, the main content may change longer or shorter depending on the page. When it gets longer (as shown in the code below) the orange box doesn't continue to the bottom of the page. How can I accompish this?

I don't want to have to change the height EVERY time the content changes longer or shorter...

I've found things on min-height/faux columns etc, but can't get it to work.

Please help! Thanks everyone

You could use a background image on the whole page which would make it look like the column goes all the way down.
