Comment on html code and css

Dear all,
I would very much appreciate comments regarding my html and css. Especially in terms of layout, accessibility, browser compatibility and for the 2 column fixed layout approach that i've used. I just want to check Im doing all the code right.

I am not after comments on the design of the site. I know its awful, that I will sort out later.

I checked top to bottom on both the html and the css page, and couldn't for the life of me find anything wrong or something that would cause compatibility issues. W3's Css validation however, complains about a few duplicate color values, but that's just gobbledygook if you ask me. ;)

I really like that you skipped all the tabulation in the source! I don't like to scroll while reading either :)
