First, I'm not posting this for a review, because it's in the very early stages (though all thoughts are welcome).

Now, go here and resize your browser window on the horizontal and watch the background images. Best part is: simple as heck to do.

NOTE: If it doesn't work, you're using IE <9. Upgrade.

Slideshows are notorious for not behaving well in responsive layouts.
but it resizes nicely and the slide effect works well. I like.

I love it Ronald! I've been wanting to use parrallex (I assume that's what you did? Didn't look) I just haven't found the time to play with it yet. Looks great.

I've been dying to have an excuse to use it. It's subtle, and most users won't notice it, but I like it.

When we break from clients over at Krymson I'm going to try to make a slideshow that uses it. I've seen a few around. They look really nice.

    Looks good.

I believe a similar effect can be achieved in Foundation (CSS/ JS framework) by Zurb, and several other alternatives. Unless of course, you're more showcasing the fact that the sliders are able to resize without breaking - in which case, impressive.

I'm more trying to show off the parallax effect, but I like the sliders too. I just used Flexslider for the sliders. Add a little custom sizing CSS to Flexslider and it'll work pretty well for stuff like that.

Very cool!.. but on the downside how often do people purposely resize a browser by dragging unless asked to? I'd say not very regularly.

Yeah, I mentioned that a few posts up. It's ok, though. The few that see it might appreciate it, I now have an example of it in my portfolio, and I have a proof of concept that I can use in a more practical situation. Like, say putting it on the y axis so it happens as they scroll down the page (wouldn't work here, but perhaps on another design).

I've seen something similar that had stars in the background that kind of flashed as you scroll down. A slow fade in and out in different positions. Really neat

yes that would be a bit more practical. I have the thought of clouds as if you'd be falling through them as you scroll down. Or of course flying up for scrolling up.

HAHA.. If I had the time (9th month old son is taking it all) I would make it happen and share but unfortunately I don't so feel free Ron, I would love to see it in action.

I take it this hasnt been tested on phones yet?
Kinda spazzed out on me just then!
How r u calling the images? It reverted to the full size images once the transition kicked in.
Then the grid was just a few px. Very strange behaviour...
