the dhtml software should have instructions because they could change depending on the type of menu you are installing. Sorry not to be more help but without more information from you, there's really not a whole lot anybody can tell you.
I can say there is usually a javascript that is called up that isn't necessarily coded directly into the page but called up much like a css file is called for.
