"Boring" Website

I have a client that has specifically requested a website be "pretty boring". I had already given them a mockup of what in my opinion was a really nice professional look for them, but they wanted something a lot more bland. Their reasoning has to do with their clientele being in the private equity industry and I guess bland websites are part of their makeup.

Anyhow, I've put together this second mockup. I wanted some feedback before I pass it on. I'm trying to find a balance between their version of web design, and something I can put my name on. I wouldn't consider this a particularly challenging project, but for some reason it's given me a real bad case of designer's block. Thoughts?

by boring do they mean corporate? - cause that's boring to me.

If so, your mockup is almost there. just a few less curves and more hand shaking in front of glass buildings.

The example of their idea of boring websites in their industry were:

REMOVED LINKS. DON'T WANT TO ARCHIVE MY BADMOUTHING OF OTHER WEBSITES.

"Corporate" might be a little too complimentary for those sites.
