...apart from vBulletin to your discretion is?

Pls. advise if what you've nominated has audio/video uploads and not just linked/attachments.

    Thank you,

phpbb 3.0 looks like it will be pretty sweet. it's still in beta testing right now though.

It's up to beta 4 so maybe it won't be long before it's final.

yeah, but i am guessing they will put out at least 2-3 release candidates before the final release comes out. either way, i am looking forward to it. looks very promising.

phpbb would also be my choice after vBulletin. That's if you can fight off the spam that phpbb forums usually get.

All forums get spam. There are no exceptions, including this one using vbulletin. There are mods to phpbb which you can add that deter spammers. I installed several on writingwise.com. Spammers sign up but get no further.

As far as smf, I've never used it but it looks very basic. I'm not sure how adapatable it is to templating and, iirc, AA, you make some pretty neat graphical sites. I have used the joomla!board and didn't like it at all because it was too basic.

From experience I would stay away from phpBB, seems to cause some problems with security. I would go with SMF.

all of the scripts listed here have security holes. that is why it is so important to keep up with updates, regardless what application you run.

i think phpBB is better option option as its opensource and there are lot many comms from where you can get free support
apart from that i think vbulletin is good if there are lot many users when come on at same time...

and best part of phpBB... its free na ;)
    Demo : free forums
