Basic Dreamweaver issue - Help!!

Hi

I have recently had new logos designed for my website. They are 300 x 60 in size and sit in the top left of the screen, the sizes are the same as they use to be.

However, the image looks distorted - too long. But when it is in Dreamweaver on the edit page, it looks perfect. It is only when I view online it looks strange. All I have done to change from the old image is upload the new images to remote site, then click on source and get Dreamweaver to point to the new image..then I upload.

Can anyone suggest why the images are looking so odd online..? although look ok on Dreamweaver?

when you click on the image in dreamweaver a list of property option will pop in a menu at the bottum. in this menu you can set the width and hight of the image. if you leave these fields blank, the image will display in it's full size.
