background music and sound for button ?

I have a question where I can purchase cheap background music and sound for button for my client's website. Honestly, I don't really understand the rules about using music and sound on website. Can anybody explain to me more clearly ?

Can I use music as background music from the CD that I purchased ?

If your cd is a commercially produced work available for sale at a public market/facility - probably not.

Your best bet is to grab a magnifying glass and read the copyright info that 'should' be included in the fine print of the product. Most such works contain verbiage stating they cannot be duplicated or rebroadcast, etc. for commercial/public use, etc., etc.
There may even be some contact info there that you might use to ask the producer of the product directly.
