Ads that validate in HTML 4.01 Strict?

I am in the middle of developing a website, and I want to display ads, but I can't find an ad provider whose code validates in HTML 4.01 Strict. Does anyone know any ad providers who use valid code? Thanks!

Have you tried validating against XHTML? It's likely the format they're using.

2 things:

1. I've never had any issues with Google AdWords, have you tried them?
2. Out of curiosity, why does it matter?

Alright, I will take a look at Google.

It's not super important to me that ads validate, but if I go to the trouble to write valid code, I would like to display ads that are valid as well, so that my pages will validate.

what format are the ads?

ani gifs - no brainer, they'll validate
swf - will not validate unless you do a tragic workaround. which is a total waste of time.

just supply to anyone who wants to advertise on your site specific requirements for the ad. if you dont set down in writing the requirements then everyone will send in their dogs breakfast. simple.
what sort of validation errors are you getting?
