Adobe released Photoshop CS2 for free

CS2 ... Free? .... Well not really.
It is/was/will be an "Urban legend", What happened is that Abode turned OFF the activation servers because CS2 has reached "End Of Life", and is somewhat 'glitchy' on operating systems above Windows XP (Been there tried it with a legit CS2 on Windows 7) and CS2 became the last Adobe update we bothered with.
If you can beg, borrow or find a DVD of CS2 Download Crew have published the instructions and the "free" activation code.

OK so I should read first, post later lol. I didn't see the notice "..should only be used by customers who legitimately purchased CS2..."
That being said they mustn't care too much since they figured it was more beneficial to simply put a public download to the files and display a serial than to continue the CS2 activation server.
I use CS5 but I used to love CS2.
