We are making a photography portfolio website in photoshop. Does our website need to be at 72 or 300 ppi? And do the pictures in the slideshow need to be 72 or 300 ppi? Thanks if you help.

    screen display = 72ppi. A 4 inch wide image at 300ppi will display on screen as 16inches { (4x300)/72 }.

A safe width for your website layout is 990px.

Save all your photos at a 72/dpi for on-screen viewing. Only use 300 when you print images (and even then you can get away with a smaller resolution).
