Best and Most Important Website Design Software

Dreamweaver, mainly because of the code hilighting, server behaviors, site management, and all the other goodies it comes bundled with.

    Need Some Opinions, Plz

It's kinda tough to review until you add some content, but based on what you have already: Tables are a no-no. CSS only, especially if you're posting the "Valid CSS" badge The design is way too plain & generally uninteresting

    Getting Started With Photoshop CS3

I think Photoshop Studio Techniques is one of the most helpful books for PS I've ever come across... The Classroom in a Book series is ok, but very dry.

You feedback in the portfolio is highly recomanded

The site looks great, but I'd change a couple of things... Replace your img map w/ xhtml so SE's & alternate browsers can use the site Get rid of all that extra whitespace at the bottom Set up a project gallery w/ descriptions instead of screenshots & links Keep up the good work;)

Please give me your opinion on my NTD site

This is obviously a "green" website  I think you could improve the design by adding a little more variation in the color - try white or more of the taupe you used for the hover links. There just isn't enough contrast to direct the viewer's attention to your content. A very...

Confused with the title of my webpage....

Doctype declaration is missing <head> elements aren't supposed to display No body tag- which is where your content is displayed

    Please review this site

Hi Rob The design is ok, it's just that nothing really jumps out & grabs me - kind of looks like every other hosting/design company out there... Not a fan of the nav's look - try making the blue lighter or change the color of your text. The templates page should show a smaller thumbnail...

Please Help with CSS Nav Tabs

It looks ok to me in Fx & IE6... If you you're still having problems, place an absolutely positioned div as a nav container.;)

I could really use some feedback on this re-design

This site could really use some color, borders, or whatever you can think of to make your content stand out - the left nav is particularly difficult to use. The newsletter signup doesn't really need to be in the header (move it to a sidebar), or if you feel it does at least make it smaller...

    What do you think?

Why the 3 different templates/logos? Each page should maintain the same layout as your homepage - any of the 3 templates you used would look fine, but you need some consistency to the site. Also, why display the download Fx link on your homepage? - Not a good idea, since that is the only...

Can you make a good template using notepad and html?

Dreamweaver, Frontpage, GoLive, etc. are all just tools for writing markup... Notepad is kind of like using a hammer, where the specialized software is more like using a nailgun; You don't need a nailgun, but it will make the job go faster.;)

    New Layout

Hmm... You can't fit the word "Blitzkrieg" into your full-screen banner? I just did it in less than 50px :) The site is laid out ok, but it just seems kind of.... blah. It looks ok, just nothing special or especially memorable.Nothing really grabs you here- try drawing attention to specific...

    Advantages of Fireworks CS3

I typically follow the same approach you do: PS/Illy -> DW, although for my last site I did the layout w/ FW. Here's what I noticed: - 9-slice scaling for round rects - styles are easier to apply/change - you can export layout to DW (uses tables, convert to <div> in DW) - easy pop-up...
