Never been very keen on horizontal scrolls. It's not a natural action for a mouse. Unless you can make it a click and flick on the images themselves (which would also be compatiable for touch devices) I wouldn't recommend it.

I'd stay clear of using a TV as a monitor. In general they don't do a very good job. Also, one large screen is better than two small ones. Have you thought about just getting a new PC?
