Hello,

I need help with this hosting that I got. Somehow I managed to install WP through cPanel and etc but there are problems that I cannot fix.

Luckily I can connect to the server through FTP. Can I use FTP to wipe the whole stuff in my hosting and start fresh?

Side note: I got stuff like

example.com/stuff
example.com/etc/etc
example.com/blah/blaasdasd/blah

Do I simply delete the public_html or stuff inside it?
Do I also delete the www ?
What if I delete everything listed below (image)?

the 'www' is ONLY an alias to the domain name NOT a different set of identical files.

Why not remove it using cPanel or softaculous as that also removes the database.

I don't know maybe because I'm not too familiar with cPanel and FTP is just straight forward to me.

Thanks chrishirst!

I doubt it will let you delete all those directories but don't try.
locate the usual wp files (wp-admin, wp-content etc.) and just delete them.

On WHM/cPanel servers "public_html" is the document root folder for the website files and "www" is a "symlink" to public_html usually intended for use in FTP clients.

To remove the database and user, open wp-config.php to find the database name and database user name, then login to cPanel and delete the database and associated DB user.

To remove the site, 'manually', delete ALL documents and folders in public_html, apart from cgi-bin, and any subdomains or "add on" domain folder(s) that you may have created.

If you are not really sure of what to do you can always contact the host and see if they would remove the files for you.

You can do it yourself in the file manage or if you are using an ftp client
