Redesign Review

Hey Ronaldroe,

Navigation's broken on Safari Version 7.0.6. Seems to be more stable for the lower resolutions but the links blow out of the pulldown container on full desktop res.

Also, clicking the social buttons on the right tab just pull out/close the drawer - I can't open a social link.

Like the colour scheme =)

Hey, thanks for the feedback.

I fixed the social buttons. I'll need a screenshot of the other issue if you don't mind.

Is this design finished????
Cause the main menu (just after the ronald roe text-logo), is white letters in white-gray background!
It's very hard for someone to read them!
(i checked it in firefox 31, windows 7 sp1 home edition)

Yes...it's finished...

I've tried myself a few times in FF31. I saw it when I loaded the page the very first time, but once the page finished loading, everything snapped into place. Could you try again and see if maybe the page just needs to finish loading?

Found it. It was a weird calculation error that affected Windows FF and apparently also Safari, which is odd to me, since FF's rendering engine doesn't change from OS to OS, but Safari doesn't use the same rendering engine at all.

At any rate, thanks for your help. Should be fixed.

Hello,

after a first quick look:

I realy like the fresh colours and the smoothly animated buttons, but
- the page seems a bit flat and empty
- a little too much text
- the font type gives the page an outdated /non-pro feeling/look
- some titles/icons are offset in on IE (11+)

Thanks Manganix.

A couple of things:

- Could you elaborate about the fonts?
- I'm aware of the IE issue, but unfortunately, IE10+ don't respect conditional comments, and IE has a bit of a problem with line-height on pseudo elements.

Thanks

If I could suggest anything regarding the font it would be consistency.

the ul and p should be the same for example.

and I would push the footer over a little to line up with the content.
there is a fair amount of space between "talk to me" and "hosted by"...

the hovers on the about, design and development could be centered vertically as well.

Hi,

- Could you elaborate about the fonts?

> I'd go for a more modern font and also try to be more consistent with the types -as Phreaddee has remarked as well.

> when hovering over the social media buttons, I'd go for one color instead of the different colors (face, twitter, ...) matching the social media concerned, but this doesn't come out or show due to the blue background and the blue-ish buttons when hovered over.

Very Clean! I Like it... I Quess my only concern would be the drop down button that brings down the menu! Maybe not everyone, but there might be those who wont find it. Other Than that Great Job! Really Like the Color Scheme too! ....Hey Do you ever do any Work on sites like ODesk or Freelancer.com ?

Thanks for your input.

If you watch, when the page first loads, it loads with the menu open, then it retracts.

Hey Do you ever do any Work on sites like ODesk or Freelancer.com ?

No. Clients on those sites find $40+/hour a little hard to swallow when they can hire someone from India to do it for $4.50/hour. ;)
