iPhone 5

I decided I needed to post SOMETHING about the iPhone 5 on my blog and I just started off with no real intention and it suddenly turned into a rant about how the iPhone is destroying the world. It just came out of nowhere (I have an iPhone too!). See the post and I'd be interested in your views - maybe I'm just getting old and starting to react against things which are new.

I don't like iphone or any Apple products. Buying it is not practical and lacking in features. I prefer Android.

I'm too old fashioned to like "smartphones" or iPads. I want something that has buttons and flips closed. No flat thing that doesn't move, nothing touchscreen, and certainly nothing where surfing the internet and taking pictures takes precedence with phone calls being an after-thought feature.
Even my ereader has buttons, isn't touchscreen, and flips closed. It doesn't take pictures and it doesn't have a modem. It's great!

For me the whole discussion is like eh whatever... I use my phone for its intended use as well as a little extra... as a business owner I have to be able to answer emails in real time. It's just the way the times are now days. If you sit down and think 15-20 years ago most of the general population didnt have computers and cell phones... heck i didnt even have a color TV... but its just the way the times are it's shouldnt be about which is better... It should be about which one better fits your needs...

If you're a designer or developer and you use Apple as your computer and you're running the latest versions of OSX then yes... an iPhone will be great if not and you don't wanna have to pay for most of the apps then go Android.

But it shouldnt be about which is better... An iPhone fits me because I can run the same apps as my ipad and have communication with my invoicing app on my computer.

Think about it.
