hey guys,
i have 2 rough logo ideas im trying to pick from.
the first can be seen in white (for now) here:
http://helloworlddesignco.com/

and the new black one is my avatar pic on here. the idea is to use this as a compact logo, and usually have it to the left of the entire "hello world design" company name.

which do you guys like better so far? again.. both are still rough (please ignore color/shadows, etc), but enough to give you an idea..

please feel free to comment on why you picked whatever one you picked too!

thanks!

I voted for the original white one. Your avatar is very unique and interesting concept, but struggle to see the H and W and at the same time it looks a little menacing (not friendly enough somehow) and kinda 70s in a way too. Just my personal opinion. :p

the idea for the black one is hw playing with the wifi/satellite/info exchange symbol.

think i should scrap the idea completely and focus on polishing the white one?
or maybe soften up the new one and add some text and see where it goes?

Maybe if you changed the color of the two different letters to help differentiate between the two. Maybe give them a gradient when its all said and done. When I first looked at the black logo it turned me off but the more I look at it's not so bad.

I like the black one logo, although I think you need to do this suggestion. It will help people see the differences!

Agreed. Maybe use the logo that is on the site without the shadow effects, might look better.

I like the 'hello' chat bubble concept.

i think my main gripe with the white logo is the word 'design'. This will be most problematic if/when I need the logo scaled down.. which is when i started thinking about a compact version of the logo with the full company name spelled out next to it when necessary.

i would love some ideas for updates on either logo. here is what the white one looks like inverted. also, i prefer it this way (with the gray bubble).. seems less busy.

You could try putting "Design" above the word, "World" before it hits the "L"....kind of nested in there. But I like what you have here. :)

The black one is pretty good, and it certainly takes less energy to project on a screen (which is a plus if you're really focusing on green actions). I think it’s pretty hard to make additions and changes to this logo that would take away its simplicity, so no suggestions for now.
