Color choices based on pre-defined logo

Hi all,

I'm having some trouble figuring out how to go for a professional touch on a webdesign I'm going to make. The thing is, that the firm already have a logo which is fully copyrighted and thus cannot be altered at all. The logo consist of two colors: a pastel green and a normal/slightly dimmed red:

(I've blurred out the logo to prevent any misunderstandings between the firm and me)

The firm is selling three different products which are all computer programs, so the webdesign have to have a professional and serious look. I'm going for the classic 960.gs design with a horizontal menu, a 960 focus box which content respresents each computer program with a TRY and BUY button and three bottom focus fields.

My biggest concern about this is the use of colors. I think I will try to make use of the red color and variants of it and use as little of the pastel green as possible.

What do you think of the above? Any hints, comments or help is greatly appreciated! :)

Thanks in advance,

Bo

Thanks a lot Phreaddee, didn't know about that site! It's hereby bookmarked :)

I've been tinkering a bit with the design for a few hours and have come up with this so far:

Sorry for the blurring, but it's quite important for both me and the firm in question to keep it tight at the moment :)

Thoughts?

Thanks again!

I like this so far.

I've never heard about this site. I've bookmarked this as well!

all i can say is the over-all look looks good.. .imho you've got to have an accent.. .maybe a stroke of an intermediate color between the red and green.. .to avoid dullness that tends to be monochromatic.. . :-D
