Printing a URL on a shirt

Hi

I want to get some T shirts printed to promote my website.

The URL is quite long, 16 characters, so I have two options

Option 1

www.My16letterdomain.co.uk

(1 line, in a medium sized font)

Option 2

www.
My16letterdomain
.co.uk

(3 lines in a much bigger font)

Option 2 would obviously be easier to read. My site is a shopping directory for a particular city and I shall be wearing the shirt around town. Readability is therefore very important.

Please can you let me have your views and votes

Option 1 or Option 2

Many thanks !

I vote for option 1 but that's just because I don't like to see URL's broken into more than one line. Just my opinion, of course! :)

Couple thoughts:

  • do you need the "www", that would help shorten the character length
  • use some typography/design and add a little style

Many thanks for the advice

When I wrote out the question I had the .co.uk aligned right, but it didn't come out right on the posting.

I think you idea is great ... adding a different font to the url, and a smaller, more plain .co.uk bit.

Kind regards !

ps You seemed to have answered a number of my posts over the past few months .. so thank you for that too. I had the idea for a web site, well a series of them really, but initially knew nothing about html css etc. I have therefore used this forum and others quite a few times for general advice etc.

Omit the www. The domain name itself is enough. Making the print in RED would be a good idea.

If someone were to google your domain name, whatever it is, does it show up first on google? If so, you can opt for eliminating both the www and the .co.uk. If the domain name is catchy enough, people might google it. Or, you can write below it, "check out our site" so that people know its a website.

I vote for PixelPusher's idea with one possible exception. When running multiple words together in one domain name, capitalizing the first letter of each word improves speed of word recognition. If it doesn't mess up the design, capitalize the first letter of each word, excluding the .co and .uk.

+1 Good point

For the second option, I think it would look good if you had the top line aligned left like it is and the bottom line aligned right.

That will look so much better in my opinion.
