Do any of you use dotpad or graphing paper to start out your designs or do you use software or do you just jump right into Photoshop? I am just wondering how you all start your designs.:)

A website wireframe, also known as a page schematic or screen blueprint, is a visual guide that represents the skeletal framework of a website.[1] The wireframe depicts the page layout or arrangement of the website’s content, including interface elements and navigational systems, and how they work together.Wireframes are an important design tool used in Web development. It is a visualization tool for presenting proposed functions, structure and content of a Web page or Web site.

The wireframe depicts the page layout or arrangement of the website’s content, including interface elements and navigational systems, and how they work together. The wireframe usually lacks typographic style, color, or graphics, since the main focus lies in functionality, behavior, and priority of content. In other words, it focuses on “what a screen does, not what it looks like.”

SEI will provide you with any reading materials

SEI will provide you with any reading materials and/or multimedia supplies that the workshop requires.* You will need to bring writing material or a laptop for taking notes.* For a hands-on workshop please bring work clothes, long pants, and closed toed shoes.* SEI will provide all installation and lab tools, but if you have your own you are free to bring those as well.* Also make sure you bring a water bottle so you can stay hydrated, sunscreen, and a hat, as a large portion of hands-on workshops is spent outdoors.
