Which url is best?

mysite.com/camping-tents/

or

mysite.com/camping-tents.php

or

mysite.com/campingtents.php

or does it matter?

Camping-tents.com ideally!

However using the sub domain gives you options like
/camping-tents/three-man.php
/camping-tents/dome.php, etc.

Generally Google does not like "-" in domain-names, but with a page URL it is commonly used to separate words so if your main keyword is "camping tents" it can be "camping-tents".

I don't have a "-" in any domain name but use it often in the extension. Both the folder and .php file. I just didn't know which would be best.

It makes such a minimal impact to SEO it's not even worth the discussion.

mysite.com/camping-tents.php is readable and fine to use

camping-tents/ is better as it is more user friendly. Non-technical users who don't know what .php stands for will find it easier to remember.

Plus it allows you to use rewrite rules to create a pretend directory structure which is also good for usability. For example if I was a customer looking at camping-tents/gear then without much thought I'd come to the conclusiong that If I just backspaced a bit to camping-tents I could see all info related to camping-tents not just 'gear'.
