I'd probably make the Stepawards font bigger, and I'd pull the design up towards the top of the page more. It looks pretty slick, but the square corners in the rounded corner box looks out of place sort of. I'd recommend putting a light drop shadow on the rounded box and/or making the area inside the box a different color with a broad gradient touch.

A darker color and larger font text which describes what the site is about would be better. It is not immediately apparent what the site is about from the site name.
