Website Dilemna

I was hoping to get some help with an issue I have. After selecting a freelance company to do a "clean and professional" design of a website for me that I was told would take 2 months, I have received the 10th or so finished result(which still is not finished to specs) 3 months late, and I just discovered that the coding is very sloppy & table heavy. I have my new partner designing the site that we will actually use and grow with since this one has a very limited future (if it ever gets fully finished).

I'm wondering if this is a good enough case to request a cancellation of the escrow payment, cut my down payment loss, and move on.

Please help!

I was a website freelancer for a number of years and was hired on full time by a company, mostly because I could meet deadlines ( or at least within a couple of days). I think 3 months late is terrible. As long as the specs were clear and there was some sort of statement of work agreement, you are justified in not paying this company. I am sorry to hear about your misfortune, its a gamble on any of the freelance sites

I am sorry to hear what happen, it is really a gamble dealing with freelancers however me too is a freelancer but it really depends on the project I am handling, 3 mos time is really terrible for certain project like yours. You can actually withdraw payment from eScrow, I guess depending on your agreement.
