Visual Web Site Design S/W (e.g video,pics)

Hi,
I was wondering if I could have your recommendations for developing a site which will mainly be used by a low amount of users.

I would like something similar to www.slashdot.org where each user could post their own individual news based on a topic. Although I am also looking for an option where they can also post movies and/or pictures. The videos may be best if they where linked from youtube.com.

Do you have any recommendations? I have been playing around with Xoops although could not get it to do what I want.

Appreciate the advice.

Drupal

I have started trying Drupal.
I found it easy to post video links from youtube, although picture attachments displayed as file attachments and where not displayed visually in the main window.

I will keep you updated on my progress for those with the same requirements.
