swf no publishing

I'm fairly new to flash, and having trouble with my swf. It's a xml mp3 player that works when tested in flash. When I try to test it in dreamweaver or on my testing server, I see the thing and push the buttons, nothing happens. Why might this be? I've checked to make sure all the files are in the same folder, I believe. I'm not sure what to check for.

Never mind, I got it. I didn't have my html file in the same folder as the others. Also I was creating an html file in publish settings and then another with swfobject2 html generator, adding to the confusion. Am I right to understand that in CS4 the default publishing method is swfobject 2? That would save me time, but I can't afford it right now.
