whilst cPanel requires 384MBs of RAM and plesk requires 512MBs of RAM. But what about DirectAdmin? How much RAM does it require?

Do you need Windows or Linux control panel? If Linux - then Cpanel and DA may be your choices, (I heard that Cpanel for Windows is under development, but not sure when it comes out oficially).

I guess DA might be the best choice for Linux hosting, you can host an unlimited amount of domains using it.
