Shopping Carts

I haver been trying to get some help as to how to go about the shopping carts. I would really like to get it worked out.

Do you plan to make your own shopping cart? Or just the scripts for it? Or perhaps a 3rd party cart provider? For novice, I think paypal.com would be a good choice. But it really depends on the nature of your business/site.
