On my windows laptop i use traffic travis, its pretty good and its free, otherwise if you dont mind spending some money i would recommend IBP. Its really good and breaks down EXACTLY whats wrong and what you need to work on and rates it for you.

I personally use SEO powersuit for SEO tools.
It's rather low cost but provides alot of tools useful for providing information on your backlinks and also each software gives easy steps to follow to improve your page rankings.
