Replacing Sub-Domain with TLD

I was able to do this before, but didn't quite know how it happened. I stumbled on it by accident. So, what I am wanting to know: How can I replace a subdomain with a domain name like this?:

Actual site...
www.example.co/elgg/pg/messages/compose/

And without changing any directories or moving it to the root folder and change the primary domain name, I want a domain name pointed to the sub domain and it's directories, and not just forwarding it. When a user types in www.my-second-example.us, I want the following to show when they get to the website (www.my-second-example.us/pg/messages/compose/).. not neccesarily that page, but just to have the domain name replace the sub domain and stay in the address bar with the filenames following the domain like in the example. I want to try and do this so I can host multiple websites on my hosting account, and not pay monthly for multiple hosting accounts.

Would any of you be able to help me with this?

I would contact your hosting provider about this, they should be able to do it for you quite easily
