PHPNews Vs phpns

I am looking at including news on a website I am putting together using PHP. From my google searches it seems the two main players are PHPNews and phpns.

Are these the main open source news systems ?
Is one considered better than the other ?
Anyone got any real world experiences with either of these products ?
Anyone recommend an alternative ?

Don't know alot about phpns, but it seems that PHPNews is widely used on alot of sites. From personal experience and using PHPNews it is easy to integrate into your web site layout. It is because of this reason that it is one of the main Open Source news systems...a further search of Hotscripts.com would probably tell you the same thing.

I have used PHPNews on a clients site and they were extremely happy with the plausability and the robust functionality of the script.
