Need help displaying Word-docs in Webpage

I need some help in the following problem.
The administrator of the site needs to upload
several Word docs to the server, which need
to be secured with a user/password. The administrator
doesn't have knowledge of HTML and PHP.

Can you show me some directions of how to approach
this.

You need to password protect the files through your cpanel.
If they are all in a folder you could password protect the folder.
