hi

I want to know how or where to get designs from for overall table layouts or boxes on web pages that are not just a standard border but have cool rounded edges or a title and content box that are shaded differently -

is this just done in photoshop or fireworks type packages and the typing done in there also or is there a resource for these somewhere??

i feel as something like this will have a stong affect on the look of my site as it will look more technical than plain 'floating' text or standard borders etc

please help:)

You can try searching around for web site templates and see if there are any that have the features you want.
The rounded edges would usually be done in some sort of graphics software. I'm sure there would be many tutorials on the web on the subject if you would like to make your own.

Are you talking about rounded corners? If so:

Creating this with images is probably the easiest method.

Of course there are multiple ways to get the rounded corner effect, and I remembered reading about doing this with CSS and Javascript a while back.

I did a quick Google search and found what seems to be a fairly detailed how-to article with instructions and samples here:

http://pro.html.it/articoli/id_599/idcat_31/pag_1/pag.html

It's an Italian site, but the article is in English.

This site lists many options --> http://www.smileycat.com/miaow/archives/000044.html

and at this site there is a technique to add borders to the NiftyCorners above -->http://www.cssplay.co.uk/boxes/snazzy.html
