Inbound Links

Hi,

I've just published a website and am now faced with the simple task of improving its search engine ranking. I hear that inbound links are pretty important................ but how do I get 'em?

exchange links with other related website.
Also try submitting to web directories.
There is a good list of directories at http://www.strongestlinks.com/ though most of the directories charge.
