I am confused and lost :|

Hello! I am wanting to make a website that is unique, style and featurisitc.

Right now I am lost on where to start, I know I need to have a domain and a web host that supports PHP, MySQL, etc. I am wanting to build my own template, then import my own images onto the webpage like "top headline news..etc" as my website will be for my World Of Warcraft guild. I am currently in love with how www.ensidia.com looks. And thats the kind of theme I love, but im leaning onto designin my own. I asked them how they made theirs they said Django/Python. Are there any ideas,tips,tutorials I can do to help me solve my confusion on where to start. I would greatly appreciate any help THANX IN ADVANCED!

First thing before anything would be to design it then. Draw it on paper, draw it up in photoshop/fireworks. Just get your interface ideas down on paper, write some notes about certain parts of the interface. The interface is what will determine whether people stay on your website or not, so it's very very important.

It would be an uphill task for you to learn and make the way for the site. it would be a better idea if you hire a specialist that can visualize your vision and convert it into a reality.

You can always go on template monster or other templates websites and select the template of your choice. I am sure there are thousands of different templates and you will find some template better than esindia and can purchase it. once you purchase it its very easy to edit the contents and images and get your website up and running
