you can use PS's replace color too under image>adjust>replace color

OR
do a selection by color range and fill that area

OR
create a layer, fill with whatever color, and since it's the black and white you want to show, choose color overlay or hue mode.

There a some differences in all, but the top one i think comes out the best.

Thnx, but when I want to change a (very) pink color to white, it gets more grey than white, is this because of the pink underneath it? And what can I do about it?

it also has to do with brightness and contrast. the lower the saturation level the darker the color but even changing the saturation level doesn't always white out the gray. try applying some brightness and/or contrast to fix that. Since you want a relatively bright color for the end result, you can play around with the settings until you get it the way you want for the overall effect.

You can use the hue and Saturation under Image > Adjustments
and select the saturation and just play around with it.
Good luck :)
