How to add a line break to an alt tag

Hello,

So I'm using a js image gallery that extracts the image subtitle from the alt attribute. Is there any way I can force some text onto a different line?

Hi again, so I've solved that problem... now I have a different one:

When tested locally, I have the image expand in the same page... when uploaded to my server, however, the larger image (after clicking on the thumbnail) opens in a new page... any explanations as to why this might occur?
