    Hi everyone,

I am just wondering where I can get free or cheap photos, icons and graphics for use on websites. I'm not talking about pictures for the template but for blog posts, information pages, etc.

Where is a good place to get these pictures? What does everybody use?

    Thanks!

Google is the best arsenal out there.

I have found some great vector graphics at vecteezy.com. They don't have a ton of inventory, but they have some good stuff.

Check out 123rf.com. They have awesome high quality images, and they now have a free section with great options.

    http://www.sxc.hu/ = Free Stock images.

Google = Stealing images which you should try not to do. The basic icons like a facebook, or twitter you find on google images probably won't hurt but photos, you shouldn't use with out permission.

I'd rather not use Google because I don't want to be stealing photos.

    Thanks for the links!

DepositPhotos is one to look at

I just did a free trial on DepositPhotos.com and it worked out well. You get 35 stock images out of a database of millions and the quality was good. Just be sure to cancel before the 7 day trial is over or they will charge you $59 or something like that. Also, when you cancel on their site (which is super hard/ confusing to find) it isn't a bad idea to go in and revoke your billing agreement if you signed up using Paypal. I saw they were based out of Puerto Rico and thought I should play it safe.

If you want to see some of those images and get an idea as to what can be done, the static, html site I just applied them to are at Sertraline Lawsuit.

I am not in any way affiliated with them, by the way.

Also, if you use Firefox, you might want to try doing a Creative Commons image search. It's the little black and white CC in the drop down inside the search form at the top right.
