email problem with joomla

I just installed joomla but users do not receive activation link to their mails, I checked both the inbox and junk folder. I only receive notification emails about users who have registered. I tried to send a mass mail. It displayed " E-mail sent to 2 Users" but no email was delivered?
Any solution to this?

Try to change the mail from SMTP to PHP inside Joomla Global settings under the server tab.
