Has anyone noticed that new domain names only take a few hours to be active. ? last year it took 48 hours ..

It depends on which service you use. Some still take up to 48 hours. Ours take about 5 minutes for a new domain, a few hours for a transferred domain.

Yes, I noticed that too. It used to be guaranteed within 24 hours. However, recently I'm noticing domains are up and running literally within minutes of registration.

    Thanks,
    Anthony

I've noticed this too. I find that names I register with GoDaddy are up and running sometimes within 10 minutes.

Mine are running in just a few minutes, however, it seems like if you change the dns a second time, it takes longer. Dunno why.
