I Submitted a sitemap to google a few days ago, but my content changes pretty frequently, and have added a few keywords here and there. Although I am still struggling with verifying my site it seems that google has recognized it. So anyway, how often are websites crawled?

There isn't a stable number. It depends on the updates that happen on your site. More updates will influence more visits from Google
