China wants my domain

I don't know if this is the place for this, but ...
I've been getting some mails from a Chinese company and the Chinese domain name registration center that the China-based company wants to register GAMANGA as their company domain and as their internet key word or something.
Has anyone else got messages like this (for their domains)? Is this a joke / phising / virus, ...?
Now someone from that company mailed me that they've submitted GAMANGA as their domain name; could they do that while I've registered GAMANGA.com first?
