Hi guys,

I'm working on a new website and would appreciate your opinions on the design.

It's a first draft and the graphics and content will change, so please comment on the general layout and color scheme, as well as your initial "gut reaction" to the site. Does it convey professionalism and trust? Is it too busy? How can I improve it?

There are two versions: both have a top horizontal navbar, but the second one has a vertical navbar as well (this would make navigation a bit easier).

Don't hold back, I can take it! ;)

Thanks in advance.

Not much difference between the two, they do convey professionalism and trust.
Looks like a lot of information on the homepage.
If anything I would consider changing the color of the green used in the OS of the text logo at the top, unless of course that is the standard company's logo colors.

It's quite busy for a home page - everything fits well but when you have such a big left content area that is almost 1/2 of your page, a visitor's eyes will not know where he/she is supposed to be directed.

The design, look, colors, icons, and images are very well done. Wouldn't change ANYTHING about that.

I'm one of many opinions though - wait and see what other people say before going through a design change as drastic as a layout re-design.

Hope this helps!

I would definitely go with this option: http://www.flickr.com/photos/37985620@N07/3495596738/sizes/l/

Although the design is too loaded, if you want to have many things displayed on the home page you should think about scrolling options and show the navigation and texts more organized, right now the website looks too loaded.

Consider dropdown menus to reduce the amount of information on the home page.

Other than that I think you have a clear idea about where you want to go with your website design

Thanks to all for the useful comments. I agree, the original was overloaded with content.

I trimmed things down and tried to better organize the layout. It's still a bit heavy on content, but hopefully not too bad.

Here are two new versions:

The two files are the same, except for the following:

In the first one, the page is divided into four quadrants by X and Y axes.
In the second one, the quadrants are a bit staggered, but the layout of the two upper quadrants is better.

I'd like to hear your opinions on whether the staggering in the second one is distracting, or if it's no big deal.

Thanks.
