Adobe Photoshop The most common software to do a pro graphic design works is the Adobe Photoshop software. For more simple work on logos and icons just use Adobe Illustrator. Visit us at SMooVo.com to get inspired.
Thank you very much nedo! dave mentioned Adobe Fireworks. It is also powerful program that developed especially for web design.
This kinda makes Ai seem second best, when this is not true by a long shot. There is so much that can be done with Illustrator, it all depends on what medium you are targeting. I am biased toward Ps simply because I use it more often, but I have to give credit where credit is due And as far as icons, I use the vector drawing tools in Ps, especially being that icons are typically going to be used in some form of web page or app. Plus then you can just add layers styles right there if need be.
I didn't say second... I said "simple works"... But you have to comment my posts... . Photoshop is the software that includes all the graphic works. Adobe developed small child softwares to make the work easier for each work industry. Indesign for publishing, Illustartor for logos and types, and more... Photoshop can do it all, but it's more complex. It is true that Photoshop's main target is to design digital photo, but not just that.
For design I use just Photoshop. Gimp is another good software. It's free but is not very easy to use, like Adobe Photoshop. Other interesting programs are Illustrator and Fireworks.
Photoshop & Dreamweaver. Hands down. If you're really good at coding HTML & CSS, you don't even need Dreamweaver, but we all make mistakes so it helps to have a visual editor.
Photoshop, of course! You just need to become familiar with its tools first for you to be able to use it. But that's not really a problem, there are many tutorials which you can read online.
Graphic designers commonly use adobe photo-shop which I think is the best software to use for graphic designing
