Best DAM for bitmap + Vector images?

I"m working for a small company that has two designers which use a shared network drive on a NAS. We file our images and projects manually and our amount of projects have been quite large and it is increasingly difficult to keep track of stuff. What is the Best/affordable Digital Assets Management system available that deals with a wide variety of bitmap and vector formats?

Thats the thing I've only been able to find cloud based enterprise DAM's that are way beyond what my small company needs and are in the thousands for a one time license or yearly fee. I'm looking for something that handles bitmap and vector and is pretty much stand alone or small local server based for max 2-3 people.
