For this design, I was going for one thing: simple. Something just doesn't feel right with it, though and I can't put my finger on it. Anyway, have at it: www.emilyroeartist.com

Very simple; not a bad thing. I would add some margin to the bottom of the logo so the navigation has more separation. Nice work.

Made a few changes. Moved the nav to the top, and axed the footer. The colored links seemed out of place, and I think it feels a bit more open without it.

I have to post an image, because the changes aren't live yet.

I'm not a huge fan of the font used for your links. Otherwise, it looks great!

I like it too, what if you used a slightly "darker" white? The pic (right side) blends into the white a little too much for my eyes

I second ReverseEngineers comment about the white bg. It is...distracting the way the bg blends into the picture. I viewed it in Firefox and the text is not centered on the top or bottom in my browser. Again, that may be FF doing it.

The image on the front page will change as new pieces are added, so changing the layout just for this isn't practical.

I will look into the centering issue.
