Another Newby Saying Hello!

Hello to all of you here.

I've always had content managed themes done for me, then just added to them and did the SEO with some local ads and back linking to make them come up in the SERPS.

But decided a month or so ago to go into web design and MAN! It's tougher than it looks to be artistic and build good looking sites!

I've only done a few horrible looking wordpress sites so far, and was thinking I need to be hanging out with people that know a lot more about this than I do soooo.

Here I am. Forgive me in advance but I will be asking some questions you may find silly.

All in all I'm glad to be here.

I'd say unless somewhere down the line you've shown yourself to have an artisitic inclination then the design side is not something you're going to be able to do that well and make money out of. Hanging out with other graphic designers gives you a chance to sub that out. You just need to beef up your skills in html, css and PHP (I say that as you already mentioned Wordpress). Take a look at HTML5 as its a game changer and it's here.
